All you need to know about Inflatable Island PH

NEW ISLAND ALERT, island girls, and boys! And this time you won’t be needing a boat ride.

Just located 2 hours away from Manila, this island is floating above the sea of Samba Bluewater Resort, Subic Bay in Zambales and it is so fluffy and colorful. Adding to the 7 thousand+ islands of the country is the Inflatable Island PH, which is also the biggest floating playground in Asia.

Inflatable Island PH

HOW TO GO THERE:

Inflatable Island PH

via driving: Inflatable Island PH is already in Waze! But there’s also detailed directions in the photo above.

via commute: Ride a Victory Liner bus (there’s one in Cubao) bound to Olongapo. From the Olongapo, terminal take a blue jeepney outside and asked the driver to drop you at Inflatable Island/Samba Bluewater/Half Moon Resort. OR you can ride a bus bound to Iba, Zambales and asked the driver as well to drop you to Inflatable Island.

THE INFLATABLE ISLAND

Inflatable Island

Inflatable Island PH

The playground is 3,400 sqm. and as big as 8 basketball courts. It is said that 1 hour in the island will let you burn around 400 calories. Whew! Talk about having fun and working out at the same time. It contains inflatable slides, swings, towers, human launchers, trampoline and much more that will sure unleash the kid inside the adults who will experience.

So if you’re so sold and ready to put your adult life as a whole in the sides first, then here’s what you need to know and to expect!

First, let’s talk about the tickets!

Inflatable Island PH

Before you buy a ticket let me break it out to you that there’s a height requirement. 3 ft is the minimum height they will allow in the playground. And the little kids (3ft to 4ft) are required to have a chaperone, 1:1 kid-adult ratio. So, I’m sorry but you can’t be the tita of the year bringing your 5 pamangkins.

Given that you are all adults escaping the metro stress. Here are the prices:

I advised that you book your tickets online because first, it is cheaper, and second, reservations are prioritized than walk-ins. They’re only allowing 350 persons in the island so walk-ins will depend on the number of reservations that day.

TRAVEL HACK: Tickets are cheaper at Travelbook Tours.

In our blogger preview access, we were given SPRAY afternoon pass and I have done everything (all obstacles + photos + tunganga + blogger stalking). I think Spray is the best of the three since Splash can be bitin and Soaked is for the strong ones!

The welcome banner!

There are safety rules to follow

Inflatable Island PH
P.S. There are lockers for rent! You can spot it in this photo.

After your tickets, let’s move to Step one and two. EVERYONE must proceed to the orientation, where the safety rules are discussed and signed the waiver after. You might want to listen here because not abiding by their rules might get you kick out of the playground.

One important safety rule:

Action cameras and phones (in waterproof cases ofc) are already allowed on the playground. BUT be sure that the selfie sticks are on the shortest length (1ft) to avoid injuring others or yourself.

Lifevest is a MUST.

Even you know how to swim or the mere fact that there are 15 lifeguards on board, YOU STILL NEED TO WEAR A LIFEVEST. The water around the island is 5-15 feet deep. I know that some are not a fan of it because sometimes they can smell weird and it’s hard and hot to move with it. I’m sorry but the playground is lifevest zone. No lifevest. No play. Trust me with all the activities, you’ll be so tired to swim.

If you don’t know how to swim, don’t worry you’ll be fine. Just hold on to your dear lifevest.

Play, Slip, Fall, & Repeat

You can only go to the island in your reserved time slot so if you’re 30 minutes early, you have to wait.

To reach the island, you have to swim maybe around 4 meters. And based on my personal experience, you’ll slip 100 times (it’s funnier than painful) at first but you’ll get used to it later on. The playground has a lot of obstacles where you can challenge your friends or yourself with. It is a test of balance and strength. To have the best experience inside, set aside your fear and poise and just unleash the kid inside.

There are lifeguards inside. They will assist you with the obstacles and help you get back to the island when you fall down of the ocean. They’ll also look out for you so when you hear a whistle, it means someone (maybe you) is not being safe inside.

As I remember, they are allowing up to 350 people inside and it’s quite a lot. But let’s look at it in a positive way, there are 350 people to be friends and share the obstacles with.

Inflatable island Ph
Just me having a moment with kuya lifeguard. Char!

Chill and take a lot of photos after.

Inflatable Island Ph
But first, return your life vest!

Eventually, you’ll get tired or your time ran out and it’s time to step out of the playground. Good thing, Inflatable Island has the best chilling spots (you can access all day as long you have a ticket)! If you need a tan, you can go soak yourself in the sun in the cute Instagrammable floaties. But if you’re like me afraid of the ultraviolet rays, then the Bali lounge is perfect for you. They have this comfortable bean bags that are perfect for a nap and rest you needed. Both are first come first served basis and will really look good on photos.

Inflatable island Ph
Picking which one is a struggle for me. ?

Inflatable Island
The colorful and comfortable Bali lounge.

WAIT THERE’S MORE!!

Parking?
They have a free parking and it is wide enough. First come first served basis, though.

Food?
You can bring outside food inside the resort EXCEPT for the Bali lounge but you have to pay a corkage fee. On the other hand, there are a lot of food and drink choices offered inside like pasta, sisig and pizza.

Inflatable Island Ph
So in love with this watermelon shake!

Shower Area?
They have! It is newly constructed and has a lot of cubicles.

Overnight Stay?
There is no rooms or hotel but they have partner hotels you can look to on their website. Also, there are other beach resorts around.

Open for photo shoots or team building?
Yes, they are! They offer discounts for group of 20 people above. For special arrangements like these, you may contact our staff at 0917 713 7784.

So are you ready to go?? Then it’s time to book your tickets here!! If you still have questions or things to share, we can talk in the comment section!

Thank you Inflatable Island PH for this experience and to my two new travel blogger friends Mei and Nika for the laughs and photos. You can check their cool blogs!

    • I love bean bags or any furniture on the beach too. Dun lang ako madalas tumatambay. It will surely be crowded on summer so if you don’t want crowd then maybe wait until June. 🙂

  • I’ve been looking forward to this ever since they announced na they’ll open soon. I want to go here na, pero i-wait ko muna siguro na mag end ung hype. Most probably madaming tao! Haha. Obviously, di ako fan ng crowded places. Some say hindi raw maganda dito, I wonder why?? Eh it looks soooo much fun. Hahaha.

    Reply
    • True! I wanted to go back nga with friends pero not this summer muna kasi jusko ang crowd. People have different taste/perspective/experiences naman on places or maybe they just love bringing down hype places/things. We won’t know we’ll enjoy one place until we tried it naman. 🙂

    • Hi Em-gee, if budget is not an issue then the hotel package is good. The hotel is good naman. Di mukhang pipitchugin lang. 🙂 If you’re with your 10-year-old daughter you can try Zoobic Safari or Tree top Adventure after. Hope I helped.

    • Hi Jam,

Di naman sa madumi yung beach area, sadyang di lang siya maganda compared sa other PH beaches. The sand is dark (black) and the water is not clear and blue (mej dark din dahil nga siguro sa dark yung sand sa baba) pero it is clean. Walang kalat na lumulutan sa tubig and sa sand. 🙂

And also, kasi kasama ko daughter ko pwede ba yung one hour pass lang kunin? And kahit one hour pass lang pwede mag swimming padin, makapunta sa bali lounge and dun sa hnicoen floaters? Or one hour lang din kami pwede? I want to nring my daughter there cause she loves Unicorn and pink.

    • Hi, I have instructions on the blog on how to commute from mnl to inflatable. And I think wala pong 1 hr pass, two-hour pass po yung minimum nila pero you can choose not to finish the 2 hours. And what ever pass pong bilin niyo, unli hours po yun sa bali lounge and floaters.

Hello! I know there’s a height requirement in the infalatable island, but I just would like to ask if they charge a fee for a 2-year old baby just to access the beach and the lounge. Plus I have my in-laws, too and they wouldn’t be joining the fun on the playground. So do they have a different rate for just the beach and the lounge? Thanks in advance if you will be replying to this.

P.S. Love your shot with kuya lifeguard, so pretty mo dun! ❤️

    Reply
    • Hi Zendy!!! I think you still need to buy your baby and in-laws tickets kasi alam ko the beach and lounge (and the whole resort) are only accessible for those who have inflatable tickets. 🙂 Pero hope you can confirm with Inflatable on Facebook na rin.

      Thank you!! <3
