I got the chance to see Tinipak River before our ascend to Mt. Mamara. And I’m honestly tempted to sneak out and just swim in its cold water. Who wouldn’t? Look how beautiful she is. Tinipak River is said to run from Tanay to Quezon, and in the summit, you can witness how she formed a heart shape.

I got shy to do my basic artsy shots, so here’s my love’s shot showing off his excellent photography skills (NOT). Despite how alluring the river can be, I focused on my goal, which was to conquer my first ever mountain.

After conquering my first mountain alive, 0 injuries and 100 sweats, I rewarded myself by jumping on the river. I cleaned up and cooled off from all the hiking I’ve done. I had also witnessed some brave cliff jumpers so if you’re brave enough go ahead and try. By 3 pm, the river was full of people – fresh from the mountain and setting up tents for an overnight stay. The current was strong enough to carry you, so please be mindful if you’re bringing kids.

If you’re not into hiking, you can still enjoy Daraitan through its hidden gem, Tinipak River.
