Up in the sky!

Since last Aug 19 is Quezon City day (yes we both work on QC), as well as, our monthsary and also to get back to the 2 monthsaries I’m not around, we planned to go out of town this time. We went to Tagaytay – somewhere not that far for I can’t go overnights with him (strict parents!). We’ve never traveled outside Manila and Rizal with just the two of us so this is a first time!

We met at 8.30am but EDSA and all Manila major highways are unforgiving that morning, scratch that every morning! We reached Tagaytay around 12 noon already. Oh, Manila traffic, until when?

We ate at Leslie’s first because he requested it tho I really want to try Bag of Beans. But it’s time for me to give way for him this time. We’ve both been here with our respective families before. He’s usually the one bringing us back to the good restaurants we’ve tried and I’m the one who loves to explore new ones. We somehow try to always meet in the middle or sometimes I always win.

Tagaytay is foggy that noon and a little windy making the weather just so perfect for our date. We thought we’ll never push through today because of heavy rains the past days but lucky us.

After lunch, we went to Sky Ranch which is our main destination to Tagaytay. We both wanted to see this since board exam days but we never had the chance until now. We’re excited despite the fact that the only thing we thought we can only do here is ride the ferris wheel.

It is large but not fully developed yet. The place got it’s “perya” vibes in a sosyal way. HAHA! We were supposed to go to Picnic Grove but we cancelled for the place is already good to chill and just talk. They offer gazebos and even grass to sit/lie on. Parks like this are very much needed in Manila!

We rode the ferris wheel (Php150) and the Super Vikings (Php100). One thing you need to know about Paul is he’s afraid of heights oppositely my love of it. That’s why amusement park date is a challenge for him to cope up with me. Nevertheless, I’m so proud of him conquering Super Vikings! His video is super funny that I want to share but he’ll kill me.

We go home around 5:00 for the sky is starting to get dark. Our first out of town alone together is really short but it’s fun we got to do it for a change of scenery and date routine. We’re never allowed to travel alone together so we make most of it of out-of-town day trip adventures. Compared to him, I have this traveler bone and I really want to share it with him little by little now until we’re finally legal for it.
