Chill Labor Weekend at Hermanos Leisure Farm & Surf Camp Dipaculao

I know this Labor Weekend post is long overdue but a long weekend is coming soon. YAY!!! We all know how long holiday weekends here in the Philippines are. Beaches are crowded. Everyone is out of town. So, l was surprised how our beach getaway in Dipaculao, Aurora was uncrowded on a labor weekend. If you’re a fan of secluded and virgin beaches, then you might want to continue reading.

Hermanos Dipaculao Aurora
Nope, no single human in sight aside from me.
HOW TO GET THERE:

Hermanos Dipaculao Aurora

Dipaculao is 20 minutes drive away from Baler. Hermanos Leisure Farm and Surf Camp is along the stretch of Lipit Beach, Dipaculao.

via driving:  From Manila, we drove via NLEX-SCTEX to Cabanatuan City then we drive along Pantabangan Road then the Baler zigzag road. When we reached Maria Aurora, we took the road to Dipaculao already. You can waze “hermanos liesure camp”. Yes, the wrong spelling one.

via commute: Take a Genesis bus with route Cubao-Casiguran in Cubao. There are only 2 trips for a day (1AM and 3AM). You can ask the bus driver to drop you at Brgy Lipit and take a tricycle. IF YOU ARE coming from Baler, you can hire a tricycle (aroundP500 RT) to take you to Dipaculao.

HERMANOS LEISURE FARM AND SURF CAMP

BEACH AREA

I was so shocked to see how 0% human is this beach on a long weekend. The beach is a lot similar to Sabang Beach with its dark fine sand. You can run around without worrying that you’ll step into a rock. I advise you to bring frisbee or volleyball because the beach is wide enough for this games.

The resort is not strict with the beach usage. You can go to the beach anytime and do anything. But it’s a different story when it’s high tide.

Hermanos Dipaculao

Are you a surfer? The waves here are also the same with Sabang’s. It’s still the Pacific as well. You can rent a surfboard in Hermanos and brave the waves. I’m not sure if they have surf instructors but you can ask the owner because he’s a good one himself.

INFINITY POOL

Hermanos Dipaculao

The pool is newly constructed and it is my favorite part. It is divided into two parts. The smaller part is for the kids while the bigger part (the one nearer the beach) is 6ft deep. It is an open one so people usually swim in the early morning or afternoon. At noon (my shots), it is empty. Who is crazy enough to swim at 40 degrees? Me!

The place looks expensive with this infinity pool shot. Imagine how good and relax to have your gigantic floaters in this pool. Sunsets are nice to watch here as well.

THE RESTAURANT & BAR
Hermanos Dipaculao
The restaurant and bar is the one in the right.

The restaurant is simple and homey.  You can choose to eat at the air-conditioned or at the open. The food is affordable and okay. A basic ulam” cost around P250-P400 and is good for sharing. Boodle fights are also available for P3000-P4,000. The restaurant is open 24 hours but you can only order until 11PM.

Please note that outside food and drinks are not allowed. There is a corresponding corkage on them. (but we managed to sneak in some so haha #ninjamoves)

Our first meal in Hermanos.

At night, the restaurant is converted into a bar. There’s a simple bar with high chairs at one corner and the karaoke area on the other corner. If you wanted to try karaoke, then I’ll advise you to drink a little more because you’ll be singing on a stage. You can jam too because Kuya Cisco (the owner) has guitars and a beatbox. Chill nights are highly encouraged in Hermanos.

ACTIVITIES

Hermanos Dipaculao BEER PONG

I love beer pong so I’m happy that they have it outside the restaurant. You can use it any time of the day (maglasing ka kahit umagang umaga keribells) as long as you buy beer on the bar. The beers are priced between P50-P60.

POOL

Pool as in like the billiards. They have it on the second floor of the restaurant. I suck at billiards so I wouldn’t dare to play pool.

ATV

Another cool activity Hermanos offer it the ATV. They only have 2 ATVs and 30 minutes cause P600. It would be nice to drive along the Lipit beach stretch and do some beach resort hoppings. To save money, you can share the P600 with one or two persons and you each get 15 or 10 minutes each.

I actually preferred crowded beaches because I love people watching but this quiet long weekend stay in Hermanos made me relaxed and recharged for work again. I’ve got the chance to disconnect (since the wifi is weak na rin) and just allow myself to enjoy my Labor day with friends.

Some families checking in here choose to just stay and relax in the resort. You can also do some side trips in Baler like the Mother Falls and Baler town itself. Another new destination is you can drive to the Dinadiawan Beach which is just a few minutes from Lipit. It is another virgin beach in Dipaculao.

  • Ang ganda!!!! How many hours yung travel time from Cubao? My boyfriend’s asking me na umalis kami ulit, pero wala kami maisip na puntahan na mura, malapit, at maganda, but this one fits those three. Ang mura ng overnight. I’ll note this down and share this post to my boyfriend para makita niya. 🙂

  • Ang ganda!!! And super swerte nyo to have the beach to yourself! Bihira talaga ganun kapag long weekend. Thanks for the infos! I’ll consider this sa pagsstayan ko for my solo trip, pero I think it’s too expensive if solo. But we’ll see! 🙂

  • I love the photos! Parang ang ganda ganda nyang puntahan. Wala masyadong tao kasi hindi pa sya ganon ka-popular. Siguro soon, makikilala na din tong place. I like the pool, ang perfect ng view. Pero I can’t swim there at 40 degrees, not me! haha.

  • The resort is beautiful and so well located. I would forget going out. I am dazed at that food spread. Good variety. Loved the picture 50 shades of blue – well framed and well captioned.

I’m from Nueva Ecija as well.. We were there last summer, pero sa Lipit beach lang kami, and nung nag research ako sa place after namin bumalik dito sa Makati, I found out about that place. Pero hindi naman ako nadismaya kasi maganda rin naman sa Lipit Beach halos magkalapit lang yung stretch ng sand from Lipit and Hermanos. Ang kaibahan lang, sa Lipit walang room na mererentahan, as in free place lang sila. 50 pesos lang yata entrance fee namin bawat isa. Almost 21 kami lahat. This November balak ko ulit bumalik pero this time, sa Hermanos naman. Sana hindi crowded. Also ang nice ng blog mo pala, walang masyadong pasakalye. Hehe thanks.
