First for 2016 – Gudo & Mr Diggin’s

Gudo & Mr. diggin's

After being away for 11 days due to my holiday break in Dubai, Paul instantly asked me for a dinner date on a manic monday. Since I’m still suffering from jetlag, cough & intense laziness, I’m grateful that my boyfriend planned something for us (because I’m more of the planner). So all I have to do is sit clueless (yes! He never leaked information when he plan dates) in the passenger seat while he drives to our destination.

After almost 25-minute drive, I’m surprised we’re in Congressional Extension (this place is so not on our radar) in front of a small wooden restaurant, full of people and surrounded by delicious aroma – GUDO! Their food is exceptional and affordable. The T-Bone (P170) I ordered made me realized how I missed foods like this (1 week Persian food guys 1 WEEEEK!!!). The pesto (P120) and 3 cheese pizza (P130) are good too!

Since we’re in Congressional, I asked Paul to try BoxPark. We did get dessert in Mr. Diggins- which is okay, it’s just a normal ice cream with a waffle, nothing really extraordinary. I did expect a lot Mr. Diggins. 🙁

Before going home, we did our holiday exchange gifts. I gave him a Herschel bag for all the adventures we’ll do this 2016 and of course a love letter (I’m still old fashioned, okay). When it was his turn, he went down the car to get something from the trunk and it’s a giant panda bear. I’m so giddy, I snatched it instantly from him. He also gave me slippers for I don’t have one and a Starbucks planner because I like writing everything. So 2016, so far so good.
