Where to stay in Baler: Surfer’s Hub Baler Perfect for Family Reunions or Team Buildings

Thinking about where to stay in Baler for your family or group trip? We found this Surfers Hub Baler Exclusive House in Baler, Aurora, that can cater to at least 25 people, and it is a perfect Baler accommodation for your next big group travel or even your family reunion just like ours. We rented this place last February 2020 for my mother’s family reunion.

Surfers Hub Baler is an exclusive beachfront house along Sabang Beach. It is near Aliya Surf Camp in Buton Street, and it is around 15 minutes walk from Costa Pacifica. The location is perfect since you just need to go down the boardwalk to get to the beach. And it is also not in the noisy and crowded part of Sabang Beach.

From the photo above, it has wide parking, a beachfront garden, a private swimming pool, and six bedrooms, and four comfort rooms. It’s the perfect accommodation for large group travels, most especially for team building and family reunions. My family on the mother’s side (my mom has other ten siblings btw) rented this house for their grand reunion last EDSA holiday long weekend, February 23-25 (Sun – Tues). The 3D2N costs 40,000 PHP for 25 people.

NOW, LET ME TOUR YOU AROUND THE HOUSE

BEACHFRONT GARDEN + PRIVATE POOL

It’s my favorite spot in the house. It is a wide-open beachfront space where you can do various activities. You can even just lie down there at night overlooking the stars. There’s a swimming pool on one side and storage (or can be an events place as well) on the other side. It’s the spot in the house where all of you 25 can bond, for it is the perfect place where you can set up tables for dinner or do your team building games/activities.

The pool is only at 4ft, but the size is large enough. There’s a small jacuzzi in the middle, a shower, and beach beds to chill.  In the morning, the gazebo near the beach fence is an excellent place to drink your coffee.

HOUSE ENTRANCE

From the entrance, you’ll already see how big the house is. The parking can hold more than ten cars which are supposed to have since the place caters to large groups. The main glass door overlooks the sala and the stairs to the second floor. The area doesn’t have many displays, so it looks spacious, well-lit, and clean. I love how minimalist it looks.

The sala, as well, is simple. There are two sofa chairs, a center table in the middle and a TV set by the wall. From the sala, you can see the beachfront garden since the wall is made of glass. Don’t worry because there’s an installed blind for times that the sun is shining so bright. The TV has no Netflix but has cable.

The house is not airconditioned centralized, so there are fans around.

DINING & KITCHEN

Beside the sala is the dining area where there’s a wooden dining table for eight people with a minimalist black drop light above it. This area is still well-lit because, like the sala, there are large glass windows or glass sliding doors. The dining area is between the sliding door leading to the beachfront garden and the kitchen.

The kitchen is the typical kitchens in a middle-class house. Most of the cooking happens in the granite L-shaped countertop. There’s an electric stove with a kitchen hood, rice cookers, kettle, microwave, refrigerator, and utensils. Almost everything that you needed in preparing your meal.

1st FLOOR BEDROOMS

So there are three bedrooms on the first floor, 2 of them are outside the main house while one room is beside the living area. All rooms have a splitter type aircon, closet, and a study table.

From the main door to the living room, there’s a hall that leads to another way outside. But before you can go out, you’ll pass by another bedroom. The ground floor bedroom has one queen bed and a sliding door that leads to the veranda near the pool. This room is perfect for those who have little kids since they’re the ones who love to swim. It doesn’t have its own CR inside, but there’s one just across the room.

The two rooms outside are just beside the main house. It’s like a maid’s quarter. Outside room 1 has one double-deck bed while the other one has two double-deck beds. These rooms are still spacious that you can even put a futon for additional beddings. We put all the boys in these two rooms.

2ND FLOOR BEDROOMS

Same on the ground floor, there are three bedrooms on the 2nd floor. The two rooms have a connected veranda overlooking the ocean.

The master’s bedroom is the largest room in the house and has a king-size bed that can fit me, my mom, and my sister. You can add maybe up to 2 extra beds in case. It also has it’s CR and TV inside the room. And of course, it has the perfect view of the beach in the morning.

The other family room on the floor shares the veranda with the master’s bedroom. This room has two double beds and also its CR.

And the last room is on the side of the parking area. It has two single beds and a very spacious space for futon beds. The downside of this room is that it doesn’t have a CR. Most of the girls in our family stayed here and used the one in the master’s bedroom.

THE BEACH AREA

When we visited the beach in front of the house, it thas no crowd at all comparing to the area near Costa Pacifica. You can watch our youtube video regarding this place, and you’ll see how there’s no photobomber at our shots. I’ve been in Baler the third time on this trip, and it is the only time that I enjoyed Sabang Beach without too many people and surfers. Surfer’s Hub even has surfboards that you can borrow if you’re a surfer.

SO IS SURFERS HUB BALER WORTH IT?

Yes, if you’re planning a team-building or family reunion or maybe traveling with more than 20 people. Surfers Hub Baler, with its amenities, caters to the large travel groups. I think this will be too much if you’re only 10 in the group, but I won’t stop you if you have the money to spare.

We were able to fill a maximum of 25 people, and each person spent around P1600 for a two nights stay in an exclusive beachfront house with a private pool. I mean, IT IS NOT BAD and a reasonable price to pay, and for sure, I’ll be spending more than that when I stayed in Costa Pacifica. It was a pleasant stay as well, for we were able to bond, do family games, and even boodle fight. We were also able to roam around Baler in the morning and afternoon.
