Marikina Invasion: Dinner in Prison

Hi! It’s been a while since my last post. I’ve been busy with work and my latest summer adventure. Last week, I’ve been to Seoul for 5 days and this big boy missed me so much that he excitedly picked me up at work the day of my arrival.

I actually don’t have any idea where we are going, I just know its in Marikina because we are invading Marikina now (sawa na sa Maginhawa). When we turned on Dragon Street, which is by the way very dark, I assured myself that we are lost, knowing his sense of direction and all. But he studied google map good this time.

Amidst the dark street lies a small cafe – Caffe Piansa. I’ve actually read about this place in spot.ph (if I’m not mistaken). And I’m really kilig when he brought me here. I always get kilig when we discover new places and try new things especially when he’s the one initiating it. I really appreciate how he supports my wandering side.

So back to the cafe, it’s a small restaurant with its jail and courtroom theme. Tables are inside bars or in the courtroom. Don’t worry you won’t actually feel like dining in prison here because their food is awesome! We got the cordon bleu and execution pasta (carbonara). The menu is so creative and ranges from 200-450.

Did I mention that the waiters are dressed in black and white jail uniform and guards are in police costume? This place is really unique and creative.
